Brag House, the premier esports platform for the casual college gamer, announced it will host a groundbreaking in-person Texas collegiate recruitment fair and collegiate esports event – The Lone Star Collegiate Clash: Esports and Scholars Expo 2024 – on Saturday-Sunday, September 21-22. This monumental gathering, in partnership with the Fort Worth Sports Commission, will be held at the Fort Worth Convention Center, the hub for major events with a capacity to host 20,000 attendees.

All colleges’ current students and their alumni will be allowed to compete in the Lone Star Collegiate Clash, as well as high school students who are invited to attend with their families to explore college enrollment opportunities with schools that invest in esports and gaming. 100% of ticket revenues will be channelled into scholarships awarded during the event. Scholarships will be based on engagement and participation in the tournaments.

Lavell Juan, CEO, Brag House said: “We’re so excited to be partnering with The Fort Worth Sports Commission for an event of this kind that brings together the unrivaled Texas college culture and a love of gaming and competition. We believe an event of this size has the potential to completely change the face of college gaming in the US and to accelerate the need for colleges to offer strong esports and gaming programs.”

More than 65% out of approximately 1.6 million college students in Texas play video games occasionally. This represents over 1 million Texas college students who are casual or non-professional gamers. Another one million Texas college alumni who are casual gamers and have graduated within the last three-four years are also invited to compete, support and spectate. With this event, Brag House hopes to encourage colleges across Texas to offer more robust Esports and gaming programs, to interface with this untapped pool of potential talent.

“We’ve been very strategic in the partnerships we’ve built in the e-sports space,” said Jason Sands, executive director of the Fort Worth Sports Commission. “We are excited to work with Lavell and Brag House on this new concept that focuses on creating opportunities for high school and college students to engage in the industry and we look forward to welcoming students and competitors to experience all Fort Worth has to offer. “

Major brands have already started to line up as lead sponsors for the event to be a part of the unique opportunity to connect with a potential audience of millions of Gen Z gamers.
