The Patriot Games, an obstacle race with locations nationwide, has announced its next event will be the North Texas Obstacle Challenge & Mud Run.
The event, located in Irving, Texas, will be offered on September 21, 2013. It will include a 5K & 10K run as well as a one-mile kids’ fun run.
In the heart of DFW, the course is set at Trinity View Park in Irving, TX and winds through trees, ponds and creeks. Designed to use natural obstacles on the land as well as engineered obstacles to make the run exciting, scenic and challenging, the course has been designed for all fitness levels.
Cash prizes will be offered. Competitive wave is at 9a.m. The Patriot Run is the 10am wave. Participants are encouraged to dress patriotically for this wave. Suggestions include dressing in red, white and blue, military apparel, historical patriot apparel, and patriotic costumes.
Event organizers have noted that 2014 Patriot Games races will be held in Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania. Dates and locations have not been announced yet.
