The 2016 US Youth Soccer Region III Presidents Cup will take place this week, June 15-19, at Veterans Park and Bachmann Park in College Station, Texas. The weeklong event officially got underway on Tuesday with opening ceremonies at the Brazos County Expo Center in Bryan, Texas.
The tournament, featuring Under-13 through Under-17 boys and girls teams, will kick off with three days of group play, as the sides compete June 15-17 to determine which teams advance to semifinal matches on June 18. Teams who advance from the semifinals will have a chance to compete for the US Youth Soccer Region III Presidents Cup title on Sunday, June 19.

More than 110 US Youth Soccer teams in the Under-13 through Under-17 age groups from US Youth Soccer Region III (South) will compete from June 15-19 in hopes of claiming a regional title and advancing to the 2016 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, July 14-17 in Tulsa, Okla.
South Texas Youth Soccer Association is hosting the Region III Presidents Cup, and the other 11 State Associations represented include Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and North Texas.
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for teams seeking additional challenges to play for a national title against teams of similar abilities. The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.
