The City of Lynchburg, in partnership with the Atlantic Lacrosse Conference (ALC), is proud to announce its selection as the host city for the 2024 and 2025 ALC Championships. Lynchburg City Stadium, a renowned sports venue in Lynchburg, will once again welcome lacrosse athletes and fans to participate in this much anticipated collegiate lacrosse competition.
The 2024 ALC Championship is scheduled to take place on April 27th and 28th, while the 2025 Championship will be held on April 26th and 27th.

The ALC is comprised of ten Division I teams and six in Division II, representing some of the top universities in the Eastern United States. Division I teams include Clemson University, East Carolina University, James Madison University, Liberty University, North Carolina State University, University of Tennessee, Virginia Tech, West Virginia University, Temple University, and the University of Pittsburgh.
Division II teams include Appalachian State University, The Citadel, College of Charleston, Coastal Carolina University, Davidson College, Elon University, University of North Carolina Charlotte, University of North Carolina Wilmington, and Wake Forest University.
For the past two years, the ALC Championship has called Lynchburg City Stadium home, inviting Division I and Division II teams to compete for the championship title. In 2023, the event featured four Division I teams and four Division II teams, and hosted nearly 1,000 spectators, delivering an exciting venue for lacrosse fans to experience.
The Office of Economic Development & Tourism for the City of Lynchburg uses the Event Impact Calculator (EIC) through Destinations International, the global standard for measuring the net new economic impact of events on a community. In 2023, the ALC Championship generated an estimated $350,000 in local spending, and the projected Economic Impact Calculation for the upcoming 2024 and 2025 seasons estimates an increased local spending impact of $375,000 for each championship event.
