The International Senior Softball Association (ISSA) will hold their 21st World Championships for Masters and Senior slowpitch softball teams on August 14-16, 2015 with over 100 teams from across the country anticipated. With teams from North and South America entering the event, senior players over the age of 50 will take over softball fields all across Northern Virginia.
“This event is what ISSA is all about; Senior Softball’s World Championships,” said ISSA Deputy Executive Director Greg Thomas. “It is with great pride that we will be hosting many of the best senior teams in the United States in all divisions of play. Being an ISSA World Champion is being the “Best of the Best” and we wish all teams the best of luck as the fun begins. New teams can still enter but some divisions in Northern Virginia are expected to close out soon before the deadline. To accommodate the growth in participation, we are also now holding some of the competition at Rockford, IL for the senior teams in the central region of the United States and Canada.”
