The International Quidditch Association (IQA) announced Richmond, Virginia as the host city for the 2020 World Cup. The event will be jointly hosted by the IQA, US Quidditch (USQ), Richmond Region Tourism, and Major League Quidditch (MLQ). The date will be announced later this summer, but the tournament will be held in mid to late July 2020.
"We are overjoyed to be hosting IQA World Cup and are excited to work on another international quidditch tournament with Richmond Region Tourism." said Sarah Woolsey, USQ Executive Director.
USQ and the city of Richmond are also hosting the first ever IQA Pan-American Games 2019 this summer on July 13-14 at Glover Park. Tickets to the Pan-American Games are free. To claim yours, sign up for email updates, and pre-order a shirt, you can RSVP to the event here.
