Virginia Beach to Host Sandman Triathlon

Virginia Beach invites athletes to push themselves beyond the normal road race or bike-a-thon.  The Sandman Triathlon, to be held September 15 along the oceanfront, is one of the area’s best triathlons, attracting talent from all over to compete from the water through the streets of Virginia Beach.  This grueling test of physical conditioning includes a 750 meter open ocean swim, 14-mile bike ride, and 5K (3.1-mile) run. A new route allowed for more participants, with the event hosting over 600 triathletes and thousands of spectators last year.

Athletes can compete with themselves, friends, competitors and most of all, Mother Nature.

Once the field has finished, the crew will ease the recovery process with a great after-party down the street.  Location still TBD.
