The streets of downtown Everett will become a basketball playground this July 13 and 14 with the third annual Everett 3on3 Basketball Tournament. The tournament is a joint effort between Eventuris and the City of Everett. Boeing is once again the presenting sponsor. Amazon returns as a major sponsor, providing a Player Bag to each participant.
"Boeing is proud to once again support this event. The tournament brings people together, fosters friendly competition, and highlights the vibrant Everett community," said Bill McSherry, vice president, Boeing State & Local Government Operations. "We look forward to another successful tournament and the positive impact it brings to the city where so many Boeing employees live and work."
“We're grateful for Amazon's dedication to our Everett community and their generous support in ensuring the Player Bags will be enjoyed by players of all ages and abilities as they spend a summer weekend playing basketball in beautiful downtown Everett,” said Eventuris principal, Rick Steltenpohl. “Boeing’s steadfast support, along with the City of Everett, Snohomish County, and the whole Everett community, makes this event special.”
Downtown Everett will become a giant playground, accommodating 40 basketball courts and hundreds of basketball games. The courts will be set up in the middle of Colby Avenue between Pacific and Everett Avenues and along Wetmore Avenue between Hewitt and Everett Avenues.
“I’m so excited to welcome the fantastic Everett 3on3 basketball tournament back to Everett for yet another fun weekend where our downtown streets are transformed into basketball courts!” said Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin.
“For the past two years, this tournament has drawn thousands to our downtown to participate in and watch the competitions as well as check out Everett’s many restaurants, bars and unique shops – and I know this year will be bigger than ever! Special thanks to Boeing for their support of this great community event and to Eventuris for being an exceptional advocate and partner.”
For the first time, the Salty Sea Days summer block party will occur during the same weekend, adjacent to the Everett 3on3 basketball courts. “Salty Sea Days is a beloved community event for our city and we’re thrilled to host it this year in conjunction with the 3on3 tournament on such a fun and vibrant weekend in our community,” said Downtown Everett Association executive director, Liz Stenning.
Team registration is now open at everett3on3.net. The first 30 teams that sign up will receive $30 off the normal team fee by entering BBALL$30 when checking out.
