ilwaukee Esports Alliance is proud to announce the return of Cream City Convergence Esports Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 24, at Baird Center. Bucks Gaming, Milwaukee Esports Alliance, Magik4 FGC and Wisconsin Smash all return as co-hosts of the event.
“We’re thrilled to bring Cream City Convergence back to Baird Center,” said Brandon Tschacher founder of Milwaukee Esports Alliance. “We’ve got attendees from 32 states and 5 countries registered this year, with total attendance nearing 1,000 overall.”
In its debut last year, Cream City Convergence hosted just over 500 attendees from 12 different states. It was the first large-scale, regional esports tournament in collaboration with an NBA franchise.
In addition to expanding the brackets to 5 main games (Tekken 8; Super Smash Bros Ultimate; Super Smash Bros Melee; Street Fighter 6; and Guilty Gear: Strive), this year’s tournament is particularly notable as it is one of three locations in the United States and only eight in the world overall, to be hosting a Capcom Cup Qualifier, in which participants can qualify to win $1,000,000.
Online spectator passes are available through Thursday evening ( HERE) and passes are also available on-site day-of.
In addition to the tournament, Cream City Convergence will have activities, vendors and side events set up for fans and participants to enjoy throughout the day.
