Fox Cities Roller Derby (FCRD)  is bringing back home teams! For the first time since 2016 the league is split into two teams competing against each other on June 29, July 20, and August 10 at Skaters Edge.

Two skaters, Nikity Split and Mi-kill-ya, drafted players to create Nikity’s Knockouts and the Kill-ya Bees.

“I’m really excited for the return of home teams,” said Niki Raabe, aka Nikity Split. “These events provide skaters of all skill levels the opportunity to learn from one another in a supportive and low-pressure environment. It's a great chance for everyone to grow and improve together.”

Each event will take place before open skate at Skaters Edge. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and each game will start at 5 p.m.

“I'm looking forward to seeing how home teams challenge us,” says Mikala Mackesy, aka Mi-kill-ya. “I’ve heard only good things about them, but this is my first season with FCRD so I’m excited to experience them!”

Tickets are $10 for ages 18 and above, $5 for children ages 5-17, and free for children under five.

In addition to these home team events, FCRD has one more home event this season, Rock, Paper Valley Scissors, on August 24 at the Fox Cities Exhibition Center. This will be a five-game event.
