Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon announced a new race course for their October 2, 2022 race event. Road construction on the original out-and-back course forced a new design for 2022, so organizers took the opportunity to create a course showcasing Milwaukee’s iconic features.
The new course will start at the Italian Community Center in Third Ward and route runners south through Walker’s Point, Bay View, and Cudahy neighborhoods. Iconic features include views of Lake Michigan and a run across the Hoan Bridge. The new course remains a Boston qualifier and is USATF certified. For the first time, the race will also feature a half marathon distance.
Registration is still open for the marathon and 5K distances. Visit milwaukeelakefrontmarathon.org to view the new course and register.
