VISIT Milwaukee is pleased to announce it has hired Bryan Kubel as partnership sales manager. Bryan will be a key representative in the southeastern Wisconsin business and nonprofit community to connect, develop, and recruit partners to enjoy the benefits of VISIT Milwaukee membership.
“We’re thrilled to have Bryan on the VISIT Milwaukee team. His skills and experience speak for themselves and I am confident he will contribute to our goal of spreading the benefits of the visitor economy throughout our entire community,” says Megan Suardini, VISIT Milwaukee’s chief marketing officer.
Bryan joins VISIT Milwaukee after having worked at Kohl’s as a merchandising analyst for three years, where he was responsible for analyzing sales for his department, uncovering trends and patterns, and providing recommendations to the team to drive additional growth and revenue.
He was also heavily involved with the Diversity Design Council, in which he partnered with several teams across the organization to bring new diversity and inclusion activations to life. By serving as the merchandising representative of the DDC, he was able to work with the cross-functional teams (i.e.: buying offices, logistics, photography, etc.) to bring the company’s Black History Month initiative to life in February and as well as a Women’s History Month initiative to life in March. Other upcoming initiatives he had a hand in will honor Asian Pacific Heritage Month, Pride Month, and Hispanic Heritage Month.
He also served on the leadership team of Kohl’s Young Professional Business Resource Group where he created the Kohl’s + Milwaukee Ambassador program, which connected new associates from out of state with associates who were local to Milwaukee to help them get acclimated to their new city. Prior to working for Kohl’s, Bryan started his post-college career as an inbound marketing specialist for Omnigo Software and media coordinator and social media director for ZIP MKE.
Kubel grew up in Muskego and attended Indiana’s Ball State University, but chose to move to Milwaukee after graduation. He’s passionate about and closely follows the metro area’s latest developments and commercial real estate market. He’s an avid sports fan and enjoys checking out new local restaurants, breweries, and more in his free time.
