Cue the stampede to the Outlook calendar, where everyone will be marking these dates. The NCAA has announced it expects to be accepting bids for championships across a range of sports for the academic years 2026-2027, 2027-2028, 2028-2029 and 2029-2030. This is for a total of 86 of the 90 NCAA championships each year.

The timeline for events is as follows:
- July 19, 2023: Bid specifications will be published on www.ncaa.org/bids; Bid portal opens August 29, 2023: Host symposium hosted at NCAA national office (Information is found here; registration is required and the event is free)
- February 7, 2024: Bid responses due
- March-September 2024: Committee deliberations, recommendations and approvals
- October 22, 2024: Hosts/sites announced
