Floyd “Gregg” Goolsby (Seattle, Wash.), a business executive, marketing specialist and avid triathlete, was announced as the newest addition to the 16-member USA Triathlon Foundation Board of Trustees. USA Triathlon Board of Directors Vice President Joel Rosinbum has also been added to the Board of Trustees as the USA Triathlon Board of Directors liaison.
Goolsby brings more than 36 years of corporate experience in the areas of marketing, dealer network planning and product management for several automotive manufacturers. He has enjoyed the opportunity to share his knowledge with others as an adjunct professor of marketing, teaching MBA students at Fordham University and Seattle University. He currently owns and manages several real estate investment enterprises, along with an online photography business.
“After all of the meaningful experiences that have come to me through triathlon, I look forward to giving back to this great sport of ours so future generations can benefit as I have,” Goolsby said.
Triathlon has been a part of Goolsby’s life for 37 years, and he has completed more than 130 races. He represented USA Triathlon’s amateur Team USA at the 2019 ITU Age Group World Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland, and competed in the 2019 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nice, France. He has also been recognized as a USA Triathlon All-American and an IRONMAN All-World Athlete.
“Gregg’s wealth of corporate marketing experience and passion for triathlon make him an ideal addition to our volunteer leadership team,” said John Cassimatis, President of the USA Triathlon Foundation Board of Trustees. “I look forward to the unique perspective he will bring to the table as we work to grow the sport of triathlon, increase accessibility to multisport for all and identify unique philanthropic opportunities for donors and ambassadors nationwide.”
Rosinbum (Austin, Texas) has served on the board as an elite athlete representative since 2015 and Vice President since 2019. Rosinbum has held a number of other leadership roles with the organization, including as chair of both USA Triathlon’s Athlete Advisory Committee (AAC) and the Nominating & Governance Committee. Rosinbum is a four-time USA Paratriathlon national champion, earning his most recent title in 2018. He is the 2015 ITU Aquathlon world champion in the men’s PT4 division, a two-time ITU Paratriathlon World Cup medalist, and the 2017 Edmonton ITU World Paratriathlon Series bronze medalist.
Rosinbum replaces Gabriela Gallegos (El Paso, Texas), as the Foundation’s liaison to the USA Triathlon Board of Directors, while Gallegos remains an active member of the USA Triathlon Board.

About the USA Triathlon Foundation The USA Triathlon Foundation was created in 2014 by the USA Triathlon Board of Directors as an independent tax-exempt 501(c)(3) entity. Under the leadership of its Trustees and Committee members, the Foundation serves as a means to create a healthier America through triathlon and seeks to transform lives by opening up new pathways to the sport for all, especially those who are otherwise underserved. The USA Triathlon Foundation operates with the belief that every child should have the chance to participate, every paratriathlete should have the opportunity to compete, and every aspiring elite athlete should be able to chase his or her Olympic dream. Since the Foundation’s inception, more than $3 million has been provided to worthy causes and organizations that support its mission. Donations to the USA Triathlon Foundation ensure America's youth are introduced to the benefits and fun of a multisport lifestyle, athletes with disabilities receive the training, support and gear to be able to participate and excel, and the best aspiring young athletes have a chance to pursue their Olympic Dreams.
