VisitGreenvilleSC (VGSC) announces the hire of top new sports tourism sales talent for the destination with the hire of Robin Wright. Under the direction of Joe Kramer, VP of Sales for VGSC, Robin is responsible for bringing sporting events/tournaments to Greenville, South Carolina.
Robin has spent the last 17 years in the hospitality industry, the first 12 years she worked in hotels sales throughout the Southeast. In 2009, she made the transition to Sports Tourism with Visit Jacksonville, in Jacksonville, Florida. Some notable accomplishments include landing the 2015 USA Track and Field Junior Olympics, the 2012, and the 2014-2016 NCAA DI Track and Field Regionals. She was instrumental in growing Sports Tourism in Northeast Florida through various youth, amateur and collegiate sports. Robin contributes much of her success to her personal commitment to growing strong partnerships and relationships both in the community and within the sports industry. Originally from Charleston, Robin is excited to be in back in South Carolina where she has strong roots. VisitGreenvilleSC is simply a new zip code where she will continue her documented Sports Tourism successes to an up and coming community.
