Good News for Flint: No Cancelled Events, as the Chamber of Commerce Works to Keep Sports Tourism Moving Forward

There isn't much the water crisis hasn't touched in Flint, Michigan. The spreading ripples have managed to reach the hospitality industry and even sports tourism. However, no events have been cancelled or moved, although Flint destination professionals say their job now includes putting athletes and officials at ease about coming to the area.

Bluegrass Sports Commission Seeking Approval for Sports Park Proposal

Lexington, Kentucky could become a hotspot for youth sports if the Bluegrass Sports Commission can manage to convince area decision makers of the need for a proposed 130-acre youth sports complex for baseball, softball, soccer and more. One report that estimates the new complex could generate as much as $23 million annually.

Going Up: A New Sports Facility in New England

Sprawling over 105 acres, the New England Sports Village, currently under construction in Attleboro, Massachusetts, will be one of the largest sports facilities in the nation. The facility, with an expected conclusion date of September 2017, will include an ice arena, field house, two outdoor fields, aquatic center and a hotel.
