The United Soccer League (USL) announced today a new partnership with LetsGetChecked, the leading direct-to-consumer at-home testing and health insights company, to become the official testing provider for all league properties. The partnership will allow LetsGetChecked to provide its FDA EUA authorized Coronavirus (COVID-19) Sure-track tests for players and staff across the USL Championship and League One as both leagues progress through the 2020 season.

The USL is pleased to partner with LetsGetChecked as part of the organization’s introduction of a series of Health and Safety Protocols in collaboration with the USL Players Association, which can be found here. More specifically, all players must abide by the League’s testing protocol in order to return to play, with each player testing at least one time per week at minimum. The USL remains committed to maintaining the health and safety of players, staff and fans across both the Championship and League One. Under this partnership, LetsGetChecked has already begun testing those within the USL network, addressing a pressing need as sports teams look to resume play without jeopardizing its club members’ health. The Coronavirus (COVID-19) testing allows the USL to determine the best actions and course of care for those within its network, and by utilizing LetsGetChecked’s end-to-end solution, the USL will be able to more effectively keep its players and employees safe.

“At the USL, we have worked diligently to ensure a safe return to action for players and staff at the clubs that make up the USL Championship and USL League One,” said USL Vice President of Operations Brett Luy. “In partnering with LetsGetChecked, we have added another layer to the protocols already in place, which will allow safe and reliable testing for all covered individuals in both leagues.”

The partnership with LetsGetChecked will allow the USL to collect swab samples from patients’ nasal cavities and send them to a laboratory for complete RT PCR assay that is 100% sensitive and specific to the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which means if the swab sample contains the Coronavirus, it will be detected. Once processed, the results will be delivered back to patients’ LetsGetChecked accounts within 24 hours, as well as communicated to the USL to guide strategy and ways of working when it comes to gameplay and beyond.

“We are thrilled to partner with the USL to bring our Coronavirus (COVID-19) testing capabilities to the players and staff members across the Championship and League One. As we continue to partner with companies and organizations to support their Health and Safety Protocols, so they effectively reopen and resume day-to-day activities, we’re privileged to to be able to provide a solution that enables people to return to work in a responsible manner,” said Peter Foley, CEO of LetsGetChecked.

In May, LetsGetChecked received FDA EUA-authorization for their new Sure-track test for COVID-19, which was specifically designed to relieve pressure on over-stretched hospital services, frontline healthcare workers, and at-risk groups by offering convenient and secure results in 24 hours. LetsGetChecked’s Sure-track Test is the only FDA EUA-authorized at-home Coronavirus (COVID-19) test that owns all aspects of the testing service, including the collection kit manufacturing process, logistics, lab analysis and physician approval, offering a robust system that delivers unmatched safety and scale for customers. The at-home Coronavirus test is accompanied by LetsGetChecked’s connected platform offering 24/7 telehealth services supported by licensed healthcare professionals and timely guidance on containment and care for those who test positive.

With a current capacity of 300,000 units per week, LetsGetChecked’s own CLIA/CAP/BSL II certified high complexity laboratory based in Monrovia, California is building toward a capacity of millions per week in order to meet the demand of partners and individuals in all 50 states. To date, LetsGetChecked has worked with global leaders from today’s top companies and frontline healthcare workers to offer coronavirus tests to more than 100,000 people.
