The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) – the governing body of two-year college athletics based in Colorado Springs, Colorado – and adidas today announced a three-year partnership in which the Portland, Ore., based company will be the Official Apparel, Footwear and accessory brand of the NJCAA.
adidas is the fastest growing brand in the U.S. and is making waves with everything from its latest #HereToCreate multi-dimensional brand campaign, to its recent partnership announcements with Major League Soccer (MLS) and USA Volleyball, to the signings of nine first-round picks from the 2017 NFL Draft, including the number one overall pick Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns, who join a high-profile roster that includes 2016 Offensive Rookie of the Year Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys, 2016 Defensive Rookie of the Year Joey Bosa of the Los Angeles Chargers, Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller of the Denver Broncos and Pro Bowler Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers.
“We are the creator sports brand and our mission is to help athletes perform better,” said Mark Daniels, Vice President of US Team Services. “This new partnership further demonstrates our commitment to U.S. college sports and we look forward to helping the NJCAA execute their mission of fostering a national program of athletic participation, elevating the NJCAA’s sports across the country and providing athletes with our best and most innovative uniforms, footwear and accessories.”
Terms of the partnership with the NJCAA include Adidas apparel and accessories being featured at NJCAA championship events as well as providing competitively priced head-to-toe (uniform, apparel, footwear, etc.) team packages to the roughly 3,400 teams that compete annually in the NJCAA across 25 different sports.
With the new deal, adidas apparel, footwear and accessories will be featured at NJCAA Championship events and adidas will provide competitively priced head-to-toe team packages (uniform, apparel, footwear, etc.) to the roughly 3,400 teams that compete annually in the NJCAA across 25 different sports.
“This is a great partnership for the NJCAA and its member colleges,” said CEO and Executive Director Chris Parker. “There is no doubt that through this agreement the profile of the NJCAA will be positively enhanced due to adidas’ iconic three-stripe brand, which we will wear with a lot of pride.
