The Intercollegiate Tennis Association has named Shelby Payne its new Production Coordinator, ITA Chief Executive Officer Timothy Russell announced. Payne began her duties with the ITA on July 18, 2016.
Payne spent the past 18 months with USTA Central Arizona, where she served as the organization's Adult Program/League Coordinator. She is a graduate of the Arizona State University Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications with a bachelor's in journalism and mass communication.
"As we look ahead to the upcoming college tennis season, we are thrilled that Shelby will be joining our hard-working staff at the ITA," said Russell. "She has a passion not only for tennis, but for broadcast journalism, and believe that she will be a great fit in this new role created out of the recently-announced partnership with FloSports. Shelby will play a key role in ensuring that partnership reaches its full potential."
At the ITA, Payne's primary role will serve as the principal liaison to FloTennis, regarding the production of live broadcasts from ITA Championships and video content on the FloTennis and ITA websites. She will coordinate event schedule and coverage with the ITA Championships department and sync FloTennis event coverage and content with the ITA Communications department. Payne will also assist the Communications department on-site at ITA Championships in the areas of photography and videography.

"I am so excited to have this opportunity to join the ITA," said Payne. "Tennis has been in my life since I was a child and I am so excited to not only give back but to help take college tennis to a whole new level with the FloSports partnership.
