Around the country today, Liberty Mutual Insurance and its employees will celebrate the one-year countdown to the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. From Liberty Mutual's headquarters in Boston to its Safeco Insurance company's home in Seattle, employees will experience the spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic movements through Team USA-themed games and demonstrations, and appearances by 15 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic legends, heroes and hopefuls. Additional event locations include: Fairfield, Ohio; Indianapolis, Ind.; Irving, Texas; Lake Mary, Fla.; and Phoenix, Ariz. Coverage from the Boston event will be available for viewing by all of Liberty Mutual's 50,000 worldwide employees via the company's intranet.

The "One Year Out" festivities are the first major activation of the brand's recently announced four-year sponsorship of Team USA, which designates Liberty Mutual Insurance as the Official Property and Casualty and Life Insurance Partner of the 2014 and 2016 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams that will compete in Sochi, Russia, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In conjunction with today's activities, Liberty Mutual Insurance and the United States Olympic Committee are also unveiling the new partnership logo lock-up, which will be featured prominently on a wide range of Liberty Mutual Insurance corporate collateral materials from employee business cards to brand advertising to online platforms.
