USRowing announced today that Liberty Mutual Insurance has signed as a gold medal sponsor and the official insurance partner of USRowing. As part of the multi-year agreement, Liberty Mutual will feature U.S. National Team athletes in a series of speaking engagements and Row to Rio promotional appearances as they gear up for the 2016 Olympic Games and 2016 Paralympic Games.
“As a proud partner of the U.S. Olympic Committee, we are honored and excited to join USRowing as it strives toward greatness in Rio,” said John Coombe, Liberty Mutual vice president of Brand Management and Sponsorships. “We believe the essence of the sport and the ideals of USRowing, specifically, working together to be your best and achieve success, align well with how we approach our business each and every day.”
The announcement is a major development for USRowing, as the organization prepares for the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games and the launch of its Row to Rio marketing campaign.
“We are thrilled to welcome Liberty Mutual to our family of sponsors and are looking forward to collaborating with them as we continue to grow and celebrate our sport,” said Beth Kohl, Chief Marketing Officer for USRowing. “Liberty Mutual is widely respected for its global commitment and dedication to sport at every level, and we couldn’t be more proud to announce this new partnership."
The Row to Rio campaign will launch at the San Diego Crew Classic on March 28-29.
