Olympic gold medalist Missy Franklin has signed an endorsement deal with Speedo in hopes of encouraging more people to take up the sport of swimming.
Franklin, who calls Colorado home, says she wants to inspire more people to get in the water.
“I am excited to partner with Speedo to share my passion with others,” she said in a prepared statement.
Franklin went pro earlier this year and is training for the World Championships in Russia this summer. She’s also a favorite to win multiple medals again in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil.
“This partnership is about connecting our brand with someone who shares our year-round passion for the water, and can help us inspire more people to ‘jump in,’ ” said Speedo president Jim Gerson in a news release.
Franklin is a graduate of Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora.
