Shift Cycling Culture, a foundation aiming to accelerate collective climate action in the global cycling industry and community, is launching the Climate Action Pulse Check.
The new Pulse Check survey builds on the Shift Cycling Industry Climate Commitment, tracking the impact and looking at the cycling industry’s overall progress on climate commitments and strategies.
According to Shift Cycling Culture, the annual assessment will help to gain insights into how companies are moving from ambition to action, will identify common roadblocks and pinpoint further opportunities for collaborative action.
Shift encourages all cycling brands, manufacturers, retailers, event organisers and other professionals who work with the industry to participate and make this a tool to move the climate agenda forward.
Participants in the survey will receive a summary of the results including an individual benchmark of their organisation’s level of action. Next to the Pulse Check for organisations, all cyclists are invited to complete a short survey to share what climate-related efforts are most important to them and what actions they would like to see happening more in the industry.
The 2024 industry survey will be open from June, 3-21, 2024, and can be accessed online HERE.
The results will be published anonymously in a report in Q3, including case studies, conclusions on progress and opportunities for action.
