Who WOULDN’T want this one? The 2025 National Senior Games, the largest sports event for seniors, is seeking a host. This multi-sport event runs for nearly two weeks and brings in more than 10,000 male and female athletes age 50 and up – plus as additional 15,000 guests, family members and spectators. Oh, it also generates more than $38 million in economic impact. If you have the venues and a welcoming spirit for an event that brings in more than $38 million, read on.
Very quickly, though: Don’t delay on this one. Letters of intent are due April 29, with final bid on July 22.

People who attend the National Senior Games are interested in the social and vacation aspects of the experience, as well as the athletic competition. They are likely to take tours of the host community and partake of its entertainment opportunities. They also enjoy having multi-generational experiences with children and grandchildren visiting to watch them compete. Restaurants and bars will experience a significant bump in business during the nearly two weeks of the Games, with residual activities taking place as athletes spend extra days visiting with friends and family.
