Perfect Game, the world’s largest youth baseball and softball platform and scouting service, today announced the 2022 schedule for its Select Baseball Festivals, featuring 11U, 12U, 13U and 14U baseball players, and its National Showcases for 13U and 14U players.
Perfect Game developed its 11U-14U baseball festivals as part of an ongoing commitment to provide best-in-class playing opportunities for players of all ages and from all backgrounds. Perfect Game seeks to use these events as a way to build a lifetime bond between its participants and the sport of baseball, by providing players a safe, fun and all-inclusive environment in which to compete. Additionally, all of Perfect Game’s events and activities, including the Select Festivals and National Showcases, serve as platforms that help the Perfect Game Cares Foundation raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer causes and efforts to grow the game of baseball in underserved communities.
The 2022 11U-14U Select Baseball Festival schedule will visit Marietta, GA, Knoxville, TN and Ft. Myers, FL. The details of each Festival are as follows:
· 11U – August 7, 2022, at the East Cobb Baseball/Softball Complex, Marietta, GA (players born on or after May 1, 2010)
· 12U – August 14, 2022, at the East Cobb Baseball/Softball Complex, Marietta, GA (players born on or after May 1, 2009)
· 13U – August 21, 2022, at Lindsey Nelson Stadium (University of Tennessee) in Knoxville, TN (players born on or after May 1, 2008 or a 2027 graduate who was born on or after January 1, 2008)
· 14U – September 4, 2022, at JetBlue Ballpark, Ft. Myers, FL (players born on or after May 1, 2007 or a 2026 graduate who was born on or after January 1, 2007)
In addition to the Select Festivals, Perfect Game will host National Showcases for 13U and 14U players at FITTEAM Ballpark in West Palm Beach, FL, the Spring Training home of the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros. The 13U Showcase will take place July 23-25, and the 14U will take place July 29-31.
The 13U and 14U National Showcases are the primary events used to identify players to participate in their respective age group’s Select Baseball Festival. Last year, 47 of 48 players chosen for the 14U Select Festival attended the 14U National Showcase and 31 of 36 players tabbed for the 13U Festival did the same.
To further help with the evaluation process, Perfect Game will once again host 13U and 14U regional showcases throughout early spring and into the summer, providing its scouts additional opportunities to evaluate players and extend invitations to the 2022 13U and 14U National Showcases.
Perfect Game scouts also will be out watching 13U and 14U players at events during the spring and summer, in an effort to identify as many of the top young players in their respective age categories as possible.
