Black Excellence Night Program Continues its Basketball-Centric Events

Black Excellence Night continues with stops in San Antonio, Texas, and Phoenix, Arizona. The event heads to San Antonio on March 4, at AT&T Center, and Phoenix, Arizona on March 25, at Footprint Center. The black empowerment conference focuses on creating a unique and safe space to celebrate Black Excellence in our community and pay homage to our present black leaders while offering opportunities to empower equity and advancement for black businesses and communities.  

The event includes exclusive professional networking, an opportunity to support black-owned vendors, a job/career fair, live music, entertainment, sponsored activations, and networking mixers. It also includes panel series indicative of advancing black businesses and communities and empowerment of equity. In addition to celebrating Black Excellence, the ticket serves as their entry to watch the San Antonio Spurs or Phoenix Suns play as the event partners with professional basketball game teams to enhance camaraderie and community outreach. 

Black Excellence Night serves as an annual fundraising event where a large portion of the funds raised from the event support small business grants, resources, and mentorship to black businesses and organizations nationwide. 

"Black Excellence Night was created for us, by us, and focuses solely on empowering black communities, building racial equity, and giving opportunities to overlooked and underserved communities, particularly black communities," said Deonna McGary, MBA, Executive Director. It is our safe space to celebrate our achievements while pushing our community forward."

Black Excellence Night 2023 will run on the following dates and locations in 2023. 

• AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 2:30 PM 
• (Game night: Houston Rockets vs. San Antonio Spurs Game) 
• Phoenix, Arizona, with the Phoenix Suns on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM (Game night: Philadelphia 76ers vs. Phoenix Suns Game)
