USA BMX, the world's largest bicycle motocross organization, has released its 2015 National Championship Series schedule. The schedule includes 34 events to be held from January through November at destinations across the U. S. beginning with the Silver Dollar Nationals in Las Vegas and ending with the Grand Nationals in Tulsa, OK.
The 2015 schedule includes several new host cities including the Sunshine State Nationals in Punta Gorda, FL, the MidAmerica Nationals in Raytown (Kansas City), MO., the Carolina Nationals in Rock Hill, SC and the Buckeye Nationals in Akron, OH.
Several legacy races are on the schedule again next year including the Derby City Nationals in Louisville, the Las Vegas Nationals and the Star & Stripes Nationals in Pittsburgh, PA.
Sticking with tradition, the culmination of the BMX season will take place at the Grand Nationals over Thanksgiving week in Tulsa, OK where the 2015 National Champions will be crowned.
"We are extremely happy with the 2015 schedule. We are looking forward to hosting events at several new sites next year, and of course to revisit some of the iconic BMX tracks across North America," said USA BMX Chief Executive Officer B.A. Anderson.
USA BMX National events attract between 1,000 to 2,000 athletes per weekend and between 3,000 to 6,000 spectators. These athletes range from new novice riders to the top professionals and riders range in age from as young as 2 to our senior riders in our 61 & Over class. In addition to the broad demographic of participants, many USA BMX national series events attract international participants from as many as 20 foreign nations and U.S. athletes from over 30 states. Each of these events will consume between 2,000 and 5,000 hotel room nights in the host destination while generating millions of dollars in economic impact.
