Women’s League Brings Full Tackle Action to Round Rock

On August 2nd and 3rd, 2013 the best teams in Women’s Tackle Football will gather once again in Round Rock Texas to crown their champions.

IWFL Championship Weekend is a showcase of all levels of women’s tackle football currently being played. Championship and Bowl titles will be contested in three different tiers. The weekend kicks off on Friday with the Tier 3 Bowl and Founders Bowl, two big games featuring the top team s in each IWFL Tier.

Saturday morning brings the annual match up of the best players in each IWFL Conference for the IWFL All Star Game and Saturday night all eyes will be on Kelly Reeves Sports Complex where the IWFL 2013 Championship will pit the top Tier 1 team s against each other in a winner take all game to decide who will earn the IWFL league title and take home the heaviest piece of football hardware in the sport, the IWFL Championship Trophy.

“We are changing things up a bit this year by adding the Friday night bowl games ,” said Kezia Disney, IWFL Chief Operating Officer, “scheduling all games for Friday and Saturday will give everyone a better chance to play during cooler temperatures and give more people a chance to com e out and catch the games.”
