Golf rounds played were down 0.3 percent in July 2015 compared to July 2014, according to Golf Datatech. Regional gains came the Pacific, up 5.1 percent; New England, 5.4 percent; East North Central, 2.1 percent; Mountain, 1.5 percent; and Mid Atlantic, 0.7 percent.
Declines were seen in West North Central, down 7.7 percent; South Central, 6.7 percent; and South Atlantic, 0.8 percent.
Public access play was up 0.2 percent and private course activity was down 2.3 percent.
For the year-to-date period, golf rounds played are up 0.4 percent.
There were 3435 contributing golf courses used in this report.
