Bill Pollock, Chairman and Founder of National Insurance Partners ("NIP"), announced today that it will sponsor the Cabo Celebrity Golf Classic on April 23-26, 2009 at the internationally acclaimed One & Only Palmilla Resort and Golf Club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The tournament, featuring amateur, professional and celebrity golfers, will benefit the Casa Hogar Orphanage in Los Cabos, which opened in February, 2008 and is currently home to 23 boys, ages 5-13. The significant fundraising event pairs leading professional golfers with amateurs, celebrities, business leaders, professional athletes and the entertainment industry for two rounds of competitive golf and a 5-hole Pig & Wolf celebrity golf match.
In addition to the golf tournament, the weekend includes two nights of live music with performances by Mysterious Ways, an Austin, Texas U2 Tribute Band and a band of legendary rock musicians organized by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Jeff "Skunk" Baxter of the Doobie Brothers. Parties, a sunset dinner cruise, deep sea fishing, a silent and live auction, and a chance to meet and greet the kids at Casa Hogar will create the ultimate experience for the event's participants. Los Angeles based The Zaring Group, one of this country's top event producing firms, will produce the event.
NIP is actively seeking companies and individuals to financially support the event through various levels of sponsorships. "We have kept the sponsorship packages to a minimum so that the companies who participate will gain maximum exposure," says Pollock. "We've put together an event that our golfers and sponsors alike will enjoy, while supporting a worthy cause." Additional underwriting opportunities are also available. The event is a not-for-profit effort so all proceeds raised benefit the orphanage.
