WE ARE GOLF – a coalition of the game’s leading associations and industry partners – will visit Capitol Hill for the eighth annual National Golf Day to showcase golf’s nearly $70 billion economy, $4 billion annual charitable impact, environmental value to local communities and fitness benefits.
“Planning for golf’s much anticipated return to Capitol Hill is in full swing and we look forward to an even more successful event in 2015,” said Steve Mona, Chief Executive Officer of World Golf Foundation (WGF), administrator of WE ARE GOLF. “The primary goal as an industry is to make sure our voice is heard in Washington, D.C. to ensure laws and regulations that impact the golf industry are fair and appropriate.”
The 2014 event featured industry leaders from the Club Managers Association of America, Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), National Golf Course Owners Association, PGA TOUR, U.S. Golf Manufacturers Council, the PGA of America, United States Golf Association, WGF and others were in attendance to discuss golf’s economic, environmental, charitable and fitness benefits to Congressional, executive branch and agency leaders.
