Get Your BID On: NAIA Women's Lacrosse National Championship

Lacrosse will be making its long-awaited Olympic debut as a showcase sport in Los Angeles in 2028. Want to host some high-level college action during the buildup to that event? NAIA is ready to open the RFP for its Women's Lacrosse National Championship for 2026 and 2027

The NAIA page on the championship is here. While you wait for the RFP to be posted (NAIA notes this will take place in August), here are some things to know:

Event Dates: May 6-9, 2026 and May 5-8, 2027 (Wednesday through Saturday)

Participation Numbers: 200-250 athletes; 500-1,000 fans

Venue Needs: Destinations should be ready to provide a lacrosse facility that meets the standards and approval of the NAIA with two primary championship fields, auxiliary field, and practice fields, adequate spectator seating, lights, electronic scoreboard, press box, concession stands, restrooms, signs, and water coolers.

NAIA Women's Lacrosse ChampionshipThere should be a minimum of four (4) practice fields at the stadium complex or easily accessible, meeting the standards and approval of the NAIA. These facilities must be available to schedule team workouts and practice sessions before and during the event.

Destinations should also be prepared to provide press box personnel necessary for the administration of the games, including public address announcers, scorekeepers, statisticians, scoreboard operators, and personnel to prepare results and update brackets to media, coaches, etc. It shall be equipped with wireless internet, 2 separate wired connections, and a wireless network printer.

Hotel Requirements: Centralized property capable of accommodating several meetings and a banquet for 200-400 people, with preference for properties that can house all 8 teams. Average stay is five to six nights. The room block needed is between 125 and 150; the price range is $100-$135, regardless of room occupancy. Participants will work directly with the hotel to make reservations and submit all payments.
