The Meijer State Games of Michigan’s fifth annual Summer Games are almost here. The Summer Games are taking place June 20–22, and will feature 39 different sports taking place in West Michigan with 7,000 athletes expected to participate. The schedule of events is finalized and the Meijer State Games are ready to bring the Olympic Summer Games experience to Michigan.

The fifth annual Summer Games will accomplish this goal starting on Friday.”
To kick off the fifth annual Meijer State Games of Michigan Summer Games, Opening Ceremonies will be held at Fifth Third Ballpark, 4500 West River Dr., Comstock Park, Mich. 49321, from 7-8 p.m. June 20. The free Opening Ceremonies festivities will include Olympic-Day, Athlete check-in, Athlete Village, the running of the 5K, and the Opening Ceremonies parade. The program will feature the Detroit Pistons Drumline, arrival of the torch, lighting of the cauldron, an athlete’s pledge, and skydivers (weather permitting). The first 2,000 athletes to attend Opening Ceremonies at and check-in will receive several sponsor giveaways.
