We felt there was a tremendous opportunity to provide both recreational and elite runners a progressive and compelling experiential race series” says Brendan Madigan, Race Director of the Broken Arrow Skyrace. “While the model wasn’t quite right in the past, we’re complete believers that Rob Goyen, with his proven record of top-shelf trail events and amazing media team, is the best national series director possible. Rob and his team understand that today’s runners want an experience, not just a trail race and his experience will assuredly shine through over the next through years. People, ourselves included, are going to be fired up.”
With the backing of the International Skyrunning Federation, the new National Series will provide robust sponsorship and marketing opportunities for brands and dynamic race experiences for participants. “We will be working closely with sponsors and race directors to create unique activations for series participants that will provide value to everyone associated with these events,” says Chris Douglas of Presidio Sports Management.
