SNIPES, a global leader in the sneaker and streetwear space, announced that Rich Foster will join the company as Chief Marketing Officer. Foster will join the company’s growing executive team and report to Jim Bojko, President of SNIPES’ US operations. Foster will lead the company’s integrated marketing team responsible for establishing its dynamic position in the sneaker and streetwear marketplace, while creating authentic connections with the diverse consumers and communities who interact with the SNIPES brand.
“Foster will be a critical element of our growing executive team, driving creative strategies that truly connect with our loyal consumer base and support, empower and celebrate our communities,” said Jim Bojko. “Foster’s background and proven track record in music and entertainment, coupled with his keen understanding of sneaker and streetwear culture will make him an integral part of shaping the future of SNIPES as we continue to innovate.”
As SNIPES CMO, Foster will oversee marketing, community impact, creative innovation and the brand’s social media initiatives. He will be responsible for developing and executing creative marketing strategies that cement SNIPES’ position as a leader in sneaker and streetwear for young culturally relevant consumers. Foster will work closely with the digital, retail and operations teams to grow the SNIPES brand, impact communities served, and drive sales.
Foster most recently held the role of Vice President of Marketing at Epic Records where he led and created successful digital and traditional marketing campaigns for Giveon, 21 Savage, Rick Ross and Travis Scott. During his tenure at Epic, Foster was responsible for a viral fan-led digital activation for 21 Savage, propelling his recent album to number 1 on Billboard Hot 100. Prior to Epic, Foster worked with Sean “Diddy” Combs’ agency, Combs Enterprises, where he was instrumental in reigniting the Sean John brand. From there, he went on to global creative agency, Exposure, where he curated award winning marketing campaigns for 1800 Tequila, Uniqlo, Adidas and New Era.
“I am beyond thrilled to join Jim and the talented team at SNIPES” said Foster. “Sneaker and streetwear culture have always been personal passions. Ever since the US market entry, I’ve admired how SNIPES has maintained a local connection to its communities while continuing to grow globally. I’m looking forward to building on the brand’s rich heritage and legacy in the sneaker and streetwear space to innovate how we truly connect with our consumers and communities.”
