Beginning this weekend, more than 1,100 youth soccer teams from throughout the U.S. will be traveling to Greater Raleigh over the next five weeks for the CASL visitRaleigh.com National Soccer Series presented by Chelsea Football Club.
Games will be played at 14 venues throughout Wake County (plus one in Wilson), with the WRAL Soccer Center serving as the primary competition site.
The action begins this weekend with the Girls Shootout on Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 6-7), with 220 teams expected.

Combined, the National Soccer Series will bring 1,160 teams to the Raleigh area, generating more than 25,000 hotel room nights and approximately $8.2 million in direct visitor spending. It ranks as the largest youth sporting event ever held in the Triangle, in terms of number of teams and economic impact.
