United Soccer Coaches has launched its new Recreation Coach Membership. The new membership type, available to Youth Affiliates and United Soccer Coaches Member Clubs, offers access to valuable coaching resources for recreational coaches.
“The association is excited to offer this new membership for recreational coaches,” said Geoff VanDeusen, United Soccer Coaches CEO. “As the home of all coaches, the Recreation Coach Membership allows United Soccer Coaches to take on a more active role in educating and advocating for our coaches at the recreational level.”
Through the Recreation Coach Membership, coaches have access to general liability insurance ($1 million of coverage per coach); Soccer Journal+, the online, interactive Soccer Journal; monthly youth coach newsletters, and access to our eight Coaches Communities. Additionally, Recreation Coach Members gain access to online resources and courses on The Training Ground, including the 4v4, 7v7/9v9, and 11v11 Development Diplomas and Foundations of Coaching Levels 1 and 2 Diplomas.
“As the Youth Programs Manager, I am very excited for the introduction of this new membership type to clubs, associations, and organizations across the country,” said Cassidy Weiss, United Soccer Coaches Youth Programs Manager. “This offers more educational opportunities for those coaching at the recreation level. After months in the making, I am looking forward to working with our Member Clubs and Youth Affiliate Programs to expand our reach and be a resource for recreation coaches. Both programs offer opportunities that suit the needs of all levels, and the association is happy to continue to be a valued resource for all coaches.”
In addition to the Recreation Coach Membership, the association now offers a Youth Affiliate Program to address the needs of youth soccer organizations, associations, and community programs. Through this unique United Soccer Coaches membership, youth soccer organizations and their coaches receive exclusive access to Recreation Coach Memberships, annual convention registrations, and full United Soccer Coaches memberships for your leadership.
