The ISSA reminds sports planners of its upcoming tournament schedule, which may cause increased influx of athletes into areas hosting events.
Virginia Beach, Virginia - The 2013 ISSA Winter Nationals will get underway on Friday morning with games scheduled at Princes Anne Softball Complex and City View Park in the City. Sixty senior teams have been scheduled in the event this year, the 6th annual ISSA senior tournament at the world-class ocean resort. The Team Managers will meet Thursday night at 7:30pm at the Best Western Plus Oceanfront, 2809 Atlantic Ave., Virginia Beach, VA 23451. The preliminary game schedule is posted on the ISSA Website at www.seniorsoftball.org. Photos and game results will be posted throughout the tournament this weekend. All teams are welcome to submit (email) their photos of their players Living the Life at Virginia Beach.
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - The ISSA U.S. Open National Championships is quickly becoming one of the largest senior tournaments in the Nation. This year's tournament will include over 70 senior teams. The event already has 16 entered teams in the 70+ and 75+ divisions which will begin play on Wednesday, October 23 at Grand Park. Tournament Entry will remain open until Monday, October 14 at midnight to allow senior teams that are playing this weekend to get in.
Tampa, Florida - Senior teams planning on entering the ISF/ISSA World Tournament of Champions in January 2014 should submit the Online Entry Form now. The organizers will be assigning divisions of play to the various complexes so players can begin booking their rooms.
The ISSA staff would like to encourage all the senior players and their fans to become a Fan of the ISSA - Senior Softball page on Facebook. The ISSA will post photos and information from ISSA events to highlight senior softball participants and happenings throughout the season. So LIKE our senior softball page as it is one way for us to communicate with all those interested in the sport. The ISSA FB page is ISSA - SENIOR SOFTBALL and has a number of photos from recent ISSA tournaments as well as some from the past. If you have friends and/or family members using Facebook you might want to suggest that they LIKE the ISSA page, maybe the ISSA will be posting your photo from the next tournament. Additionally, all senior players should subscribe to the ISSA e-newsletter to get up-to-date information about senior softball and ISSA events (subscription box is on the ISSA Web site home page at www.seniorsoftball.org).
