The Independent Senior Softball Association has noted the senior softball tournaments organized at Drifton, PA on June 1 & 2 and at Maryville TN on June 7 8 & 9 are both filled to capacity and now closed to new entries.
The Penn Senior Classic, a Saturday and Sunday event at Drifton has closed with 26 teams maximizing the field capacity at the four-field complex.
The Smoky Mountain Senior Classic at Maryville has closed with 37 teams for the three day tournament which will also fully utilize the five available fields at that City. Some divisions at both tournaments will have to finish up later on Sunday than usual. The Managers Meeting for the Smoky Mountain Senior Classic will be held at the Host Hotel, Airport Hilton at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 6.
Fifteen softball fields will be in play in the Roanoke Valley on June 21, 22 & 23 for the 12th ISF Senior World Cup. One of senior softball's favorite events, the World Cup has become one of the largest senior tournaments in the East and should close with over 70 teams this year. The Registered Team list is posted on the ISSA Website.
Teams planning on playing should submit their Online Entry Form now if not already on the list. (At this writing 51 teams have already entered.) The complete schedule of ISSA 2013 senior tournaments is posted on the website.
