National Blind Sports Day a Success

Communities across the U.S. teamed up to celebrate the 2nd Annual National Blind Sports Day, presented by Healthy Vision Association, on October 5. In fact, the entire week was a nationwide celebration showcasing the abilities, opportunities and awareness of sports for the blind. Sports and fitness activities included tandem cycling, goalball, yoga, beep baseball, soccer, hockey and much more.

A big thank you to all our partnering agencies who put on events. National media took notice as the media reach around National Blind Sports Day events exceeded 10 million, including this article in South Florida Sun Sentinel. It's not too early to start planning for next year's celebration, so start thinking about activities that will showcase your organizations and the power of sports.
