The United States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) has released its calendar of goalball events, both across the U.S. and internationally. Goalball is a sport played by blind athletes as well as those with visual impairments.
Events range from those open to amateur competition, to elite-level competition, and everything in between. The following events are presently on the calendar. Information can be obtained by going to the USABA’s website. http://www.usaba.org/
September 28-29: Junior Cascade Classic in Vancouver, WA
October 12-13: NWABA South Sound Throw-down Goalball Tournament in Tacoma, WA
October 17-20: Cactus Classic (open to youth teams) in Tucson, Arizona
November 1-3: Lakeshore Regional Youth Goalball Tournament in Birmingham, AL
November 7-9: USABA High School Goalball National Championships in St. Augustine, FL
February 7-9, 2014: Cascade Classic Regional Tournament in Vancouver, WA
March 1-2, 2014: John Bakos Memorial/USABA Midwest Regional Goalball Tournament in Warren, MI (dates tentative)
May 3-4, 2014: Cascade Classic Developmental Team Tournament in Vancouver, WA
June 19-21, 2014: USABA Goalball National Championships in Ames, IA
June 26-July 7, 2014: IBSA World Goalball Championships in Espoo, Finland
May 2015: IBSA World Championships and Games in Seoul, Korea
August 7-14, 2015: Parapan American Games in Toronto, Canada
September 7-18, 2016: Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
