USA Synchro has named Kevin Warner as its new executive director.
Warner, USA Synchro's Education Director since 2007, has been the organization's Chief Operations Officer and Transition Director for the past five months. He holds a master's degree in Kinesiology/Sport Management from Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.
"As president, I look forward to working with Kevin to lead our organization and members in the pursuit of excellence," USA Synchro President Judy McGowan said. "Kevin's knowledge of our membership and organization are assets for him and USA Synchro as he assumes this new position. During his brief tenure leading our transition between executive directors, Kevin has proven his ability to build positive relationships with our existing partners and to establish new ones. We feel confident that Kevin is the right person to serve as USA Synchro's Executive Director."
"I have had the privilege to work with a lot of great people since my initial hiring at USA Synchro, and I am truly honored to continue this endeavor, striving to meet and exceed the goals of the organization," Warner said. "It is my pleasure to be one of the pieces that will carry on the great tradition of USA Synchro."
As Chief Operating Officer since October 2013, Warner managed the day-to-day operations of the national office and successfully enhanced and secured relationships with current and potential sponsors.
As Interim National Team Director between March 2012 and March 2013, he was responsible for the national team's budget and coordinated and organized all aspects of the elite athlete program. As Education Director, Warner organized USA Synchro's educational curriculum and coordinated the certification process for coaches and judges. During his tenure, Warner implemented a new talent identification/national team pipeline program and coordinated the annual Coaches College.
Before his tenure with USA Synchro, Warner was Manager of Operations/Customer Service at Lifetime Fitness in Indianapolis and a sales executive at Sigma Communications, also in Indianapolis.
Warner earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis University (Romeoville, Ill.), where he later became an assistant coach and then interim head coach for the school's track team.
