USA Diving announced that the 2018 USA Diving Senior National Championships will take place May 13-20. In lieu of zones for senior athletes, a national qualifier will be held May 10-11. Both the 2018 USA Diving Senior National Championships and national qualifier will be hosted at the same site with the location set to be announced next week.
In order to accommodate for coach and athlete preparation, releasing the dates and meet schedule is a top priority even with event location details set to be announced next week.
The national qualifier will allow for the top 30 divers, who are not already qualified, in each event to qualify for the 2018 USA Diving Senior National Championships preliminaries. Warm-up days for the national qualifier will take place May 8-9. Warm-up days for the 2018 USA Diving Senior National Championships will take place May 12-13.
The 2018 USA Diving Senior National Championships will serve as a qualifier for the FINA Diving World Cup 2018, set to take place in Wuhan, China, June 5-10.
