Luigi Bertino Named PTR Clinician of the Year

Luigi Bertino, of Alpignano, Italy, has been named PTR Clinician of the Year
Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) will present its annual awards during the PTR International Tennis Symposium. The event, which includes 50-plus on court and classroom presentations for tennis teachers and coaches, a trade show and tournament, will be held May 2-5, 2013, at the Sonesta Resort on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, USA.

Luigi Bertino, of Alpignano, Italy, has been named PTR Clinician of the Year.

A PTR Master Professional, Bertino is the Director of Education for PTR Italy. Since 1992, he has been the Director of World Class Training at Van der Meer Tennis University in Marlengo, Italy. He is also the Director of Tennis at Club Monviso in Turin, and Head Coach at the Italian Tennis Federation’s (FIT) Regional Tennis Center. Betino’s primary focus is player development programs for junior and researching teaching methods for 10 and under tennis. He has written numerous articles for Tennis Italiano Magazine and has been a speaker at many international tennis conferences.

PTR is the largest global organization of tennis teaching professionals with more than 14,000 members in 117 countries. It has the greatest percentage of multicultural and women members of any such organization. PTR is dedicated to educating, certifying and servicing tennis teachers and coaches around the world in order to grow the game.
