From Monday, the 13th of May to Sunday, the 19th, the BNP Paribas Primrose Tournament is back for its ambitious 15th anniversary edition.
After the undisputed success of 2023, featuring the rising to the top ranks of ATP Challengers, a prestigious lineup of players (Wawrinka, Murray, Thiem, Humbert (holder of the title), Gasquet...) and an unmatched level of enthusiasm, everyone is eagerly awaiting the experience of this new edition.
This year, the Bordeaux ATP Challenger 175 introduces a new visual identity inspired by the tournament’s growing visibility and the iconic Bordeaux clay courts. Especially the updated logo that echoes the emblematic Villa Primrose emblem and its historic partner, BNP Paribas.
Scheduled on the second week of the Rome Master 1000, the tournament seeks once again to welcome some of the greatest players, ranked at 11th and above worldwide, with a prestigious ambassador in the person of Julien Benneteau, former 25th in ATP singles rankings, 5th in doubles, and current captain of the french women’s team. He notably made his mark in doubles with 12 titles and by winning the Davis Cup in 2017 with the french team, earning a bronze medal at London Olympics 2012, the former 2014 winner of the Bordeaux Challenger returns to the Villa Primrose.
To celebrate this anniversary edition, the tournament presents an even more diverse agenda :
- Opening ceremony : Highlight at the very start of the tournament, the inaugural ceremony is scheduled on the evening of Sunday, May the 12th. It will be the occasion for the ambassador of this edition to step onto the Central Court of the Villa for an exhibition match alongside other exceptional guests. Ticket sales for the ceremony will open in early March.
- Night sessions (Wednesday and Thursday) : Dive into the captivating ambiance of night games, offering a memorable nocturnal experience to the spectators, right before the finals.
