On February 10, 2023, leading global ski brand Helly Hansen will participate in the second annual International Ski Patrol Day to celebrate and recognize the extraordinary ski patrollers who keep resorts open, safe, and fun for people of all ages and skill levels. All mountain-lovers are invited to come together on this day to show their appreciation for patrollers – from sharing a friendly high-five on the slopes to Thank You messages and donations, there are endless ways to acknowledge local patrollers and the tireless work they do to help people stay and feel alive on the mountain.
“We’re honored to be the brand trusted by professionals, and we’re grateful for all that they do to keep people safe while enjoying the outdoors,” says Oliver Flaser, Category Managing Director for Professional Services at Helly Hansen. “In addition to the countless hours spent prepping and training each season to maintain their professional knowledge and expertise, our ski patrol partners also provide valuable feedback to help us continuously improve and evolve our gear. We’re proud to support International Ski Patrol Day again this year and, after seeing the outpouring of appreciation from skiers and snowboarders all over the world last year, we’re excited to keep the celebration and gratitude going alongside our local resort partners and their communities.”
In support of ski patrollers everywhere, Helly Hansen will donate 5% of revenue from its online, and select brand retail store, sales during February 9-11, 2023, to various organizations that fund ski patrol support and safety groups internationally. Specifically, Helly Hansen US will be donating to several avalanche safety groups, including Northwest Avalanche Center, Mount
Washington Avalanche Center, Stowe Mountain Rescue, Colorado Rapid Avalanche Deployment and Utah Avalanche Center. Helly Hansen Canada will be donating their portion to Canadian Ski Patrol.
To further celebrate, the technical outdoor brand is also sharing additional resources about ski patrolling – featuring stories of patrollers worldwide who are dedicated to helping their communities stay and feel alive all season long.
Helly Hansen encourages you to join the celebration and share how you’re acknowledging ski patrollers on International Ski Patrol Day, using #skipatrolday on your social channels. Learn more at www.hellyhansen.com/ski-patrol.
