Piechoski Named as New USABS Board of Directors Chairman

Bobsled & Skeleton (USABS) announced Pete Piechoski as the organization's newest Board of Directors chairman. Piechoski will take over for former chairman John Rosen, who steps aside after serving six years as chairman. 

Piechoski will assume his new role on the Board of Directors immediately and will serve a term of four years. In the role of chairman, he will work to direct and provide vision to the Board of Directors and the USABS Chief Executive Officer.

"I'm very humbled to join USABS as the Board of Directors chairman," Piechoski said. "As an organization, we need to be completely focused on the product, which is our group of athletes. We will continue to raise the expectations and build an even greater program for our great athletes. Whatever we can do to make that happen, we are going to do it."

Prior to joining USABS, Piechoski, who is now retired, was the senior vice president and chief financial officer for Peter Kiewit Sons', Inc. in Omaha, Neb. Kiewit is one of North America's largest construction and engineering organizations and serves a variety of markets, including transportation, water, heavy civil, power, oil, gas, chemical, building and mining.  

Piechoski received his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Miami, Fla. in 1976, and his Master's of Business Administration from Arizona State University in 1979.
