The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has opened the bid process to host both the 2022 and 2023 NAIA Men’s Wrestling Championship.
The men’s wrestling championship is a two day event that culminates in the crowning of 10 individual weight class national champions and one team champion for the year. The championship attracts 500-600 total participants within the official team party and between 3,000 and 5,000 fans on average.
Beyond the economic impact to the community, the NAIA gives its hosts significant opportunities to realize a return on the investment. The NAIA model transfers all revenue rights (ticket sales, sponsorship, rebates, etc.) to the winning bidder.
Below are some of the key benefits in hosting the NAIA Men’s Wrestling Championship.
- Hotel room block: 250-300
- Average length of stay: Four to five nights
