And we’re growing! The brand new WYO Sports Ranch (opening this year) will add an additional 10 basketball courts, 20 volleyball courts and a permanent indoor multi-use turf field. Sitting just 200 yards from where the WYO Sports Ranch is breaking ground, the Ford Wyoming Center has 28,000 square feet of floor space and an 8000-seat capacity, ideal for any championship event.
Casper see an additional 300 hotel rooms come online over the next three years, the Casper Ice Areana will add a second sheet of ice and our community will be welcoming the Casper Pickleball & Sports Complex this year as well. This pickleball complex will be the largest in the state, boasting 36,000 square feet totaling eight pickleball courts (five standard and three championship size) and eight batting cages. size. If you have a tournament, Casper will be able to host it.
Outside of the arena, Casper offers athletes and spectators an authentic Wyoming experience. With hands-on exhibits at the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center, visitors from around the world can learn what life on the trail was truly like back in the 1800s, including taking a ride in a covered wagon with Historic Trails West on the ruts of the Oregon Trail followed by a Dutch oven cooked dinner along the banks of the North Platte River.
And there’s plenty more to Casper’s outdoor recreational opportunities, including more than 50 miles of trails to explore in the summer and roughly 25 miles of groomed trails to snowshoe, cross country ski or downhill ski in the winter.
