Michelle Russ, CSEE, is director of sales for the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Sports Commission. She joined the CVB in 2000 and moved to the sports commission in 2007, with previous sales and marketing experience with Covey Communications in Gulf Shores, Hilton Garden Inn and Holiday Inn Express, both in Orange Beach. This spring, she received the National Association of Sports Commission’s (now the Sports Event and Tourism Association’s) Game Changer Award, after being the only female finalist for this prestigious honor.
